Rotary International has identified seven Rotary Service Priorities: Promoting Peace; Fighting Disease; Providing Clean Water; Saving Mothers & Children; Supporting Education; Growing Local Economies; and Protecting the Environment. The committee supports these priorities in reviewing and funding applications from community organizations within the allotted budget provided by the Board.
Community Funding Allocations -
To improve the lives of others by engaging in programs designed to support those in need in the local / district community.
To develop and implement projects that benefit the local and district community.
Working with other organizations, volunteers, and committee members to maximize the impact of the Club’s projects.
Evaluating requests for funding from local organizations received by the Club and presenting committee decisions to the Board related to the acceptance or rejection of those requests, and the recommended funding for each of the accepted requests.
Tracking requests for funding and maintaining a record of decisions made and the amounts of funding allotted.
Reviewing and evaluating on-going funding initiatives to determine if they should continue, and the amount of funding to be allotted.
Identifying opportunities for additional hands-on projects that will provide significant benefit to the community, be sustainable, and enhance the Club’s profile within the community.
Sustainable projects are preferred, with a focus on an inch-deep-mile-wide funding philosophy to provide maximum benefit to the community.
The committee will strive to follow the Allocation Guidelines in making decisions and will seek projects for District and Global grants where applicable.
International Funding Allocations:
To improve the lives of others by engaging in programs designed to support those in need in the international community.
To develop and implement and monitor service projects/programs with an International focus.
Planning and conducting international charitable projects on behalf for the Club that include needs assessments and evaluation of their effectiveness, working with other Rotary clubs, organizations, volunteers, and committee members to maximize the impact of the Club’s International projects.
Evaluating requests for funding received by the Club and presenting committee decisions to the Board related to the acceptance or rejection of those requests, and the recommended funding for each of the accepted requests.
Tracking requests for funding and maintaining a record of decisions made and the amounts of funding allotted.
